Construction of the 215,000 square feet, 500-bed Student Hotel will complete in the summer of 2023, whilst a 346-apartment Build-to-Rent scheme, pre-sold to Legal and General's UK Build to Rent Fund will complete in 2024. The 17-storey 325,000 sq. ft. building will also include a range of commercial units at ground floor level creating a vibrant and attractive public realm.
Candleriggs Square - bound by Wilson Street, Hutcheson Street, Candleriggs and Trongate - is regarded as the last and most significant regeneration site in Merchant City. Drum is in discussions in relation to the balance of the development comprising around 250,000 sq. ft. of office and residential accommodation.
